He graduated in 1998 from the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (FA / UTL), in 2003 he received a master's degree in Cultura Arquitectónica Contemporânea e Construção da Cidade Moderna (FA / UTL) and in 2008 a doctorate in Architecture, specializing in Theory of Architecture (FA / UTL).

He is a professor of Drawing at the Departamento de Artes, Humanidades and Ciências Sociais in the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa since 1997; he is for the Centro de Investigação em Arquitectura, Urbanism and Design (CIAUD, FA / U.Lisboa) scientific coordinator of the research project "Arquitecturas Imaginadas: Representação Gráfica Arquitectónica e Outras-Imagens".

He has participated in numerous scientific conferences and written articles published in national and international journals and books.

He is the author of the following: Perspectivas (e Outras-Imagens) da Arquitectura I e II (2009); Origens e Destino da Imagem - Para una Fenomenologia da Arquitectura Imaginada (2010); Arquitecturas-Ficcionadas: O Desenho (2011) e A Imagem Por-Escrita: Desenho e Comunicação Visual entre a Arquitetura e a Fenomenologia (2012); Il tempo e il Divenire: Disegno e Interventi Artistici a Narni (2012); Sul ‘Fra’, Delle Architetture e Dei Disegni (2013); O Papel do Desenho (2013). He also has written poetry: Azul em Coma (2009), Desenhos a Éter (2010) and Denho (…) Céu em Trapézios (2014).
