Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte, architect, Full Professor in ICAR/17 at University of Basilicata, where he has been carrying out research and teaching activities since 1989. He is one of the founders of the School of Architecture in Matera and of the international Ph.D. Course in “Architecture and Urban Phenomenology” of which he was coordinator. He is a member of the Teaching Committee of the Ph.D. “Cities and Landscapes: Architecture, Archeology, Cultural Heritage, History and Resources” of DiCEM, Coordinator of the II level Master “Heritage and Project. Protection, conservation and recovery of the Architectural and Landscape Heritage”, of the international ELARCH network and he is the manager for the Degree Laboratory in “Architecture and Heritage of the Building”. He carries out missions in China, Spain and Portugal, investigating architectural documentation issues, for heritage design and enhancement. He coordinates numerous international conferences and workshops and the results of his researches are documented by numerous monographs, essays and articles published in journals and conference proceedings.
