Giacomo Costa

Italian artist, known for his artistic research on the city and for the use of digital technologies in his photographic works. At the center of Giacomo Costa’s research lies the landscape, the relationship between man, in his acting, and nature. It is a language, an information transmission, autonomous, dialectical, articulated. It is a stratification of signifiers. The foolish use of the territory and its resources perpetrated by man for years has compromised, perhaps irreversibly, the biological and chemical processes that allow life on earth. Research stems from the urgency to reflect on the meaning of the interaction between man and the environment. The result of this survey was translated by the artist with images of huge sites where the architecture seemed to grow to conquer the world, completely suffocating the surrounding environment.
