Human Habitat. Landscapes of the Anthropocene

We have recently stepped into a new geological epoch: the Anthropocene, the era in which human beings, through their actions, transform the physiognomy of places in order to survive and prosper. The result of the model of “human” development are landscapes on a large and small scale, with a vibrant, monumental, alienating and sublime character. The photographic exhibition Human Habitat. Landscapes of the Anthropocene is a “pop” and immersive narrative that blends photography, architecture and research to describe a reality increasingly on the borderline between efficiency and survival. The exhibition offers a bird’s-eye view of the planet’s surface and the landscapes of resource production, distribution and disposal, through the aerial shots of photographer Tom Hegen and the photographs of emerging talent from around the world. The exhibition is the result of a participatory project conducted by Associazione Acropoli, a young in the field of architecture organization based in Trentino, in collaboration with Fondazione Museo Storico del Trentino, MUSE and the support of Fondazione Cassa Rurale di Trento.
