Irene Ruiz Bazán is a Spanish postdoctoral research fellow of the Architecture and Design Department of the Politecnico di Torino (Italy). She’s a technical architect, Master in building restoration, Master in Photography of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and holds a PhD in History of Art from the University of Zaragoza (Spain). The core of her doctoral research has been the analysis of the history of monumental restoration in Spain during the 20th and 21th century, the reception of European theories and the implications and relationships with other disciplines such as tourism, politics or the construction of the image of the territory. Her main lines of research in the field of photography and representation are oriented in the relationship between project representation and communication, photography and rendering.
