Carlos L. Marcos obtained his Full Architecture Degree at the School of Architecture (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), took the diploma year at the Bartlett Schoool of Archi-tecture (University College of London), and later his PhD in Architectural Design at his alma mater. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Universidad de Alicante and has been a visiting scholar at University of North Carolina Charlotte. He has also taught at Madrid’s Architecture School (UPM) and given workshops in various Schools of Architecture in Europe. He is the Head of the international research group Graphic Thinking and Architectural Narrative. His research is focused on Digital Architecture, Architectural ideation, Architectural Representation Theory and Architectural Criticism. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the research journal EGA Revista de Expresión Gráfica Arquitectónica. He has published over a hundred papers, articles and book chapters, and regularly attends and is reviewer at international conferences such as EGA, UID, eCAADe, APEGA; he chaired the EGA 2018 International Conference. Professionally, he has received various awards in architectural competitions and, occasionally, he paints.
