Architect since 1980, since 1999 she is Associate Professor of Drawing at the Faculty of Architecture of Ferrara; since 2003 she teaches at the Faculty of Architecture of Genoa, Department of Science for the Architecture, in the Degree Course of Industrial Design.
In 2009 she become Full Professor at University of Genoa and she has been dean of Department of Sciences for Architecture from 2009 to 2015.
Since the beginning of her activity she has been studying the problems related to the survey (drawing) and the representation in general, intended as a method of critical understanding of reality, both from the didactic point of view and research.
Supervisor of granted researches, she develops agreements between the Department of Science for the Architecture and public or private enterprises, organises and manages the carrying out of public competitions and project workshops. Scientific Director in the Committee for research grants and scholarships, she is also lecturer in national and international meetings and is author of more than 150 publications.
