Pina (Giusi) Ciotoli, architect and Ph.D at Sapienza University of Rome, Department DiAP. Her researches focus on the typological study of the skyscrapers and on the role of architectural project within contemporary cities.
She participated in international conferences and she has been invited critic at the Hong Kong Pavilion in the last Venice Biennale FREESPACE.
In 2019 she won the mention of the Minerva Prize for scientific research II edition promoted by the Fondazione Roma Sapienza in agreement with the University of Rome Sapienza. Her book From Skyscraper to Vertical Tissue. New architectural and urban scenarios (Dal grattacielo al Tessuto Verticale. Nuovi sviluppi architettonici e urbani, Officina Edizioni, Rome 2017) has been included in the booklist of Docomomo International.
