Architect, Cristiana Volpi has a PhD in History of Architecture and Urban Studies. Actually, she is associate professor at the University of Trento, Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, where she coordinates the teaching in Architectural History for the five-year Master’s Course in Architecture and Building Engineering.Of her main publications, the most prominent are her studies on Robert Mallet-Stevens (2005), Adolf Loos (2006) and Giovanni Lorenzi (2019), and her monographs on the Post Office, built in Alessandria by Franco Petrucci during the Fascist period (2012), and on the National Institute of Insurance building in Trento by Adalberto Libera (2019). She wrote many essays and took part in various international conferences, dealing with topics such as the architecture of exhibition pavilions, the training of Central European architects and engineers between73e75s77n 19th and 20th century, the celebratory monuments and others significant architectural works built in Trentino over the course of the 20th century.
