Ornella Zerlenga is full professor in the discipline of representation and Vice-Director of the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. She holds a Ph.D. in Survey and Representation of the Constructed (VI edition). She was president of the undergraduate programs in “Design and Communication”, “Design for Fashion” and Architecture. She won the Awards Luigi Vagnetti (UID 1989) and Storia del Disegno di Architettura (XY dimensioni del disegno 1992). In 2008, she was awarded the Silver Plaque by the UID, Italian Union for Drawing. She is a founding member of the journal “Eikonocity. History and Iconography of European Cities and Sites”, member of the Scientific Committee of the UID as well as the Interdepartmental Research Centre on the iconography of European cities. Since 2016, she is editor of the series “Themes and frontiers of knowledge and the project” for the publishers, La scuola di Pitagora.
