Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome where she is Full Professor in Representation at Department of History, Representation and Restoration of Architecture. She is Director of the Series Forme del Disegno (Franco Angeli) and of the Master in Communication of Cultural Heritage. At Sapienza she is a Member of the Board of the Doctorate in History, Representation and Restoration of Architecture and of the Doctorate in Service Design for Public Sector, of the Steering Committee of the Interdepartmental Research Center on Design and of the Laboratory of Visual Studies. She is a founding member of the University Start Up “Janus S.r.l.”.
Among the research topics in recent years she has privileged the relationships between visual perception, representation and digital technologies for the communication of material and immaterial cultural heritage; the history of representation and the representation of history demonstrating how ‘visual models’ are, themselves, apparatuses of theoretical reflection; the analytical and descriptive investigation of artifacts and urban aggregates framed in the environmental and landscape context.
